How to use the days until calculator
- Pick a target date — the number of days until (or since) it appears instantly, counted from today.
- Change “Counting from” to count between any two dates.
- Tap “Share link” to send the same countdown to a friend.
Counting days: what trips people up
- “Days until” and “day number” differ by one. A countdown excludes today; a day count (day 1, day 2…) includes the first day. That’s why the 100th day after January 1 is April 10, while “100 days after” is April 11.
- Weeks are easier to plan with. 80 days is 11 weeks and 3 days — the result shows both.
- Business days are not counted here. Results are calendar days, including weekends and holidays.
FAQ
Does “days until” include today?
No. If the date is tomorrow, it is 1 day away; if it is today, it shows “Today”. Past dates show how many days ago they were.
How do I count days including the start date?
Turn on “Count the start date as day 1”. That is how 100-day anniversaries and baby day counts work: the first day is day 1, so day 100 is the start date plus 99 days.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. It uses the real calendar, including February 29. Yearly anniversaries keep the same month and day; a February 29 start date falls on February 28 in non-leap years.
Does my time zone matter?
Dates are counted as whole calendar days in your device’s local date, so daylight-saving changes never make a result off by one.
How do I find the date 90 days from today?
Use “Add or subtract days”: keep today as the start date, enter 90, and the date and weekday appear instantly. Use a negative number to go back in time.
Can I share a countdown?
Yes. “Share link” creates a URL with your date and title; anyone who opens it sees the countdown recalculated for their day.
